At Tilstock, we place children at the heart of everything we do. As part of the Marches Academy Trust, led by CEO Sarah Finch, we believe in achievement through caring—providing a nurturing and vibrant environment where every child can thrive.
As a proud Church of England school, our Christian ethos is woven into daily life. We work closely with Reverend Sue from Christ Church, Tilstock, to ensure our values—Respect, Aspire, Hope, Joy, Nurture, and Achieve—are lived out in all we do. We have high expectations for every child and are committed to helping them reach their full potential.
Our curriculum is designed to make sense to children from their earliest years in our Nursery through to Year 6. It is carefully sequenced in small, progressive steps that build on prior learning and regularly revisit key knowledge and skills. This ensures deep understanding and long-term retention.
We develop the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Through engaging themes and structured programmes like Read Write Inc and Kinetic Letters, children build strong foundations in phonics, reading, writing, and mathematics. We also nurture a lifelong love of learning through outdoor education, forest school, sports, cookery, and a wide range of clubs.
Children’s well-being and spirituality are supported through daily worship, mindfulness sessions, and our dedicated Nurture Room. We offer wraparound care from 7:30am to 6:00pm and a bus service from surrounding areas, making Tilstock an accessible and welcoming choice for families.
We warmly invite you to visit and experience the joy, hope, and aspiration that define our school community.
