We were delighted to welcome Daniel, Esther and Rhianna from Saltmine Theatre Company as part of Internet Safety Week.
Their fantastic production, Blast Off, helped our children explore the online world safely. Through an engaging and interactive performance, children learned the importance of staying in the safe zone, keeping personal information private, being kind online and knowing when and how to ask for help 🚀
After the show, children in Key Stage Two took part in additional discussions about online safety, including understanding age limits for games and continuing to make positive, respectful choices online.
A brilliant experience that has given our children greater confidence and understanding of how to stay safe in the digital world. Well done everyone 👏

🎉 What a fantastic NSPCC Number Day we’ve had! 🎉
Our children celebrated the joy of maths with fun number challenges, games and activities and they looked brilliant in their number‑themed outfits.
Number Day is a wonderful way to bring maths to life in creative, hands‑on ways while also supporting the NSPCC’s vital work to keep children safe. Strong early foundations in maths make such a difference to children’s long‑term learning and confidence.
Squirrel Class had a brilliant day. We lined up to create a giant class number line while singing The Big Number Song. We also practised the Makaton signs for Count on Me, explored writing our names using numbers and even got creative with making the number 67 in lots of imaginative ways.
Badgers Class also joined in the fun their Number Day video is below, showcasing their fantastic number line work.
The children did an absolutely wonderful job throughout the day. 🌟🔢

Today, February 10th is Safer Internet Day.
This year’s theme is Smart tech, safe choices, supporting everyone to explore how AI can be used safely, responsibly and ethically in schools.
We believe AI should enhance learning and creativity while keeping children’s wellbeing at the centre. Human skills like curiosity, critical thinking and meaningful connection will always matter most.
To mark the day, we are sharing a video to help you understand generative AI. It supports children to navigate the world of AI, spot AI generated images and think critically about what they see online.

This week, we are proud to support Children’s Mental Health Week. It is an important reminder that every child’s wellbeing matters and that small moments of care, connection and encouragement can make a big difference.
At school, we offer a range of support for our children, including trusted adults to talk to, calm spaces when they need time to reset, wellbeing activities in class and opportunities to build friendships and confidence.
Here are a few simple ways families can support children at home:
➡️Make time to talk. Even five minutes of uninterrupted conversation can help children share how they feel.
➡️Keep routines steady. Predictable mornings, bedtimes and meal times help children feel secure.
➡️Celebrate small wins. Noticing strengths, effort and kindness boosts confidence.
➡️Encourage movement and fresh air. A short walk or playtime can lift mood and reduce stress.
➡️Model calm.
Children learn a lot from how we handle challenges, so showing calm and patience helps them do the same 💛
Together, we can help our children feel supported, confident and ready to thrive.
